Being an educated woman and become a policymaker in the energy sector is my dream. I always believe that the best way to empower women is to be the best version of myself and inspire others. Education has opened an opportunity for me not only to get a career and cut the poverty line in the family but also to broaden my horizon about the world and how complex the societies are. There are so many things that can be done better with the right knowledge, and that’s why I am working hard on my next education, the nearest one is a master's degree. Talking about a master degree, I was really close to this short term goal, I got the scholarship and admitted at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. It was really exciting to see the result of 2 years’ endeavor, however, the Covid-19 just makes me need to postpone my study. Policies differences between Sweden and Indonesia make it worse, seems deferment can’t be done and I need to reapply next year without guarantee. Of course it just a gentle reminder that there are always obstacles to pursuing something, in the past, now, or later. Obstacles will keep coming, but opportunities are also available if we searching for those. I decided to try as hard as I can to save my place in that university if it doesn’t work then how? Well, I believe there will be another one accept me, it is just a matter of time if I keep working on that. It is a step to start my journey to be a policymaker in Indonesia when I achieve it later, there will be more obstacles and challenges. Success is when I can keep my effort no matter how hard it is and how the end result looks, as long as I am doing the right things. There will be more and more goals to be pursued as well as more works to be done in order to amplify the impacts on the community. With always chasing goals, we will be a successful long life-learners.
